Arne Slot admits Liverpool will continue having to "sell to buy" in the transfer market as he hinted at another busy window for the outgoing Premier League champions.
The Reds are poised to undergo a further major transformation following a hugely disappointing season on the back of £450million of incomings and almost £300m of outgoings last summer.
Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will both leave on a free transfer after nine years at the club while 20-year-old centre-back Jeremy Jacquet will arrive from Rennes in a £60million deal.
And Slot, whose side slipped out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage to holders Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, expects there to be more incomings with Liverpool needing to reinforce their squad in a number of positions as they hope to improve on a forgettable campaign.
"Much has been said that the club is in a transition," said Slot to Prime. "The club has sold eight or 10 players to make money to sign five or so very talented players. We have to sell to buy.
"We are losing some players on a free transfer. It is a big challenge in the summer but the club has shown this model works.
"As I said many times the future looks very good, especially if we can sign players after good players leaving this summer."
