France boss Didier Deschamps issued an Ousmane Dembele injury update after he was substituted off in their win over Brazil. The two major nations contested a friendly in Massachusetts on Thursday evening with France coming out on top, though there was concern that Dembele had picked up a thigh problem.
Following the 2-1 victory, Deschamps was asked about Dembele's fitness and was able to issue a positive update. He said: "No, he's fine, there's no problem."
The Paris Saint-Germain star assisted Kylian Mbappe's opener but was taken off just before the hour-mark for Maxence Lacroix after Dayot Upamecano was sent off, which sparked concerns over a possible injury.
Dembele has been hampered by muscular issues this season and would have been a major miss for PSG against Liverpool in the Champions League next month had he picked up another problem. However, it currently looks as though Luis Enrique will have one of his star players available.
Arne Slot likely had concerns over Hugo Ekitike when he was forced off just minutes into last weekend's Premier League clash against Brighton.
Nonetheless, he joined up with the France squad and doubled their lead just after the hour-mark with a fine finish before Gleison Bremer pulled one back to set up a tense conclusion.
Alisson and Mohamed Salah missed the defeat that Ekitike was injured in and have subsequently not joined up with Brazil and Egypt, respectively, for their international fixtures. Liverpool's No.1 goalkeeper had only returned from injury earlier this month and could now miss the PSG quarter-final legs.
Salah is expected back for those European games, and thus the FA Cup clash against Manchester City, but it could be his last appearances in those competitions after he confirmed his plan to leave the club at the end of the season.
While the 33-year-old has been the dominant Liverpool topic over the last week, PSG's request before their Champions League meeting has also been in the headlines.
Liverpool will be looking to avenge their Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain from last season
The Parisians asked the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), which is France's governing body, for their clash against RC Lens, which falls between the two legs against Liverpool, to be moved.
The LFP subsequently granted that request with Enrique's side no longer having a game on that Saturday. This decision has caused quite the uproar in France with scheduled opponents Lens concerned about the impact it has on their own schedule.
Liverpool meanwhile, host Fulham with the brutal fixture schedule seeing them five games in 14 days after the international break.
Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season and Fanatics has cut the price of this season's kits with 'M. Salah 11' printing.
