He’s been a world class player and it was a great signing. Very difficult to win the premier league without a top class keeper. When klopp first arrived it was something we lacked. The spine of the team was pivotal to the success we had under klopp, the ability to grind out results. Alisson, van dijk, fabinho.
If we sell Alisson then he needs replacing, otherwise it’s another mistake. The current back ups are not good enough.
Difficult to say who’s been the best keeper in premier league history. Peter schmeichel, petr cech. Reina at Liverpool was underated, brilliant at saving penalties. The one weakness of Alisson, poor at pens. Probably the best though at one on one’s.
If I had to pick it would be Peter schmeichel. Look at what he won at Manchester United. Five premier league titles, champions league, 3 da cups, league cup, ect. He had a physical presence about him.
