Mohammed Salah's agent Ramy Abbas Issa has provided the latest on the Egypt international's next move after news broke today that he will Liverpool. Rumours have already begun to circulate over Salah's next move for the 2026/27 season.
The winger has been heavily linked with a switch to the Saudi Pro League in recent years and was the target of a £150million offer from Al Ittihad in 2023, which Liverpool turned down. And Abbas Issa has confirmed that his client currently has no club lined up for when he leaves this summer.
Speaking on social media platform X, he said: "We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows."
Salah will depart Anfield after nearly a decade on Merseyside. The 33-year-old has won numerous major trophies since joining Liverpool under then-manager Jurgen Klopp in June 2017.
They include two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups.
Salah confirmed his departure in a message on his own social media account, with the club soon adding its own message.
He said: "Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell.
"I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season."
The forward signed a new two-year contract in April 2025, but news of his summer exit from Anfield comes amid his weakest season in terms of output since arriving from Roma nine years ago.
A club statement said: "The forward has reached an agreement with the Reds that will see him close a remarkable nine-year chapter at Anfield.
"Salah expressed his wish to make this announcement to the supporters at the earliest possible opportunity to provide transparency about his future due to his respect and gratitude for them."
The statement added: "With plenty still left to play for this season, Salah is firmly focused on trying to achieve the best possible finish to the campaign for Liverpool and, therefore, the time to fully celebrate his legacy and achievements will follow later in the year when he bids farewell to Anfield."
