Liverpool gave themselves work to do in the Premier League when they were held to a boring 1-1 draw at home to struggling Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon. Dominik Szoboszlai scored the opener with a first-half free-kick only for Richarlison to net a late equaliser, the only surprise of which was it came in the 90th minute rather than additional time.
Arne Slot's side will aim to respond by earning a place in the Champions League quarter-finals when they attempt to overturn a 1-0 round of 16 first-leg deficit against Galatasaray at Anfield on Wednesday night.
And here we look ahead to the changes Reds head coach Slot could make when his team are next in action.
Slot's decision to rotate backfired against Tottenham with an incoherent display, suggesting he will stick to a more conventional line-up against Galatasasray.
Giorgi Mamardashvili did well in Istanbul, but with Alisson Becker having impressed on his return at the weekend the Brazilian will continue between the sticks. Freddie Woodman is the third-choice goalkeeper.
Dominik Szoboszlai was the right-back on Sunday but seems certain to be employed in midfield with Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez battling it out for the wide defence role. Conor Bradley is out for the season while Calvin Ramsay is ineligible for the Champions League.
Gomez, though, may be asked to continue at centre-back having partnered skipper Virgil van Dijk at the weekend given a poor performance from Ibrahima Konate in Turkey. Giovanni Leoni won't be seen again this campaign while youngster Amara Nallo is likely to be among the substitutes.
Andy Robertson, meanwhile, will come under strong pressure from Milos Kerkez for the left-back berth despite having been the more regular starter in the Champions League this season.
With Slot having largely stuck to his favoured 4-2-3-1 approach in recent weeks, there hasn't been much scope for tactical tweaks in the pursuit of a consistent foundation.
But the midfield underperformed massively against Tottenham with Alexis Mac Allister most under threat after a disappointing showing alongside Ryan Gravenberch at the base of the engine room.
Szoboszlai could step in although Curtis Jones failed to make much of an impact from the bench on Sunday. Wataru Endo remains out after ankle surgery.
Florian Wirtz was the number 10 at the weekend but was also far too peripheral for periods, with Szoboszlai having been the advanced midfielder in the first leg at Galatasaray.
Teenager Trey Nyoni continues to build up his Premier League minutes with outings from the bench but Stefan Bajcetic is still missing.
Liverpool fielded a new-look attack at the weekend with Rio Ngumoha on the left, Frimpong on the right and Cody Gakpo down the middle, but the failure to create many chances from open play indicated Slot is expected to revert to a more established set-up.
Hugo Ekitike will be expected to return down the middle and Mohamed Salah on the right, leaving the only real decision over who to play on the left flank.
Wirtz played there in Istanbul and could again if Szoboszlai is positioned as the number 10, with Gakpo and Ngumoha the alternatives, most likely in that order.
Federico Chiesa remains a bench player at best while Alexander Isak and young Jayden Danns are still missing.
